Overview

Surbiton Symphony Orchestra approached me to craft a refreshed visual identity that reflects their musical excellence while staying connected to the warmth and charm of their local community. The goal was to create a logo and branding system that feels classical, elegant, and timeless, yet adaptable for use across programs, posters, digital content, and merchandise.

The visual identity for Surbiton Symphony Orchestra balances modern clarity with musical fluidity, reflecting its role as a community-rooted yet forward-thinking ensemble. The logo, inspired by the curves of the River Thames and musical phrasing, features a continuous, flowing line that evokes sound in motion. Typography is set in Founders Grotesk, chosen for its boldness and legibility across print and digital. A vibrant palette of electric blue, violet, and leaf green anchors the identity in both the natural landscape and the orchestra’s creative energy.
